The UC Santa Cruz Rainbow Ceremony is a celebration to acknowledge the achievements of LGBTQIA+ graduating students. The ceremony validates their hard work and commitment to academia and visibility as proud queer and trans graduates. Rainbow Ceremony is open for all UC Santa Cruz graduating students who identify as LGBTQIA+ and allies. For many graduating students Rainbow Ceremony is the one graduation they can be their authentic selves and celebrate with their friends and chosen family.
This event is held by the Lionel Cantú Queer Center which is located at UCSC.
