The Beach Flats Community Center is a community resource center in the heart of the Beach Flats. We work to improve the living and social conditions of families and individuals living in the Beach Flats neighborhood. We strive to provide programming that is flexible and responsive to emerging family and community needs.

The Cantú Queer Center at UCSC is open weekdays to the campus and the community. It offers information and referrals; a library with more than 3000 books, magazines, and films; access to the queer web; and a host of programs during the academic year. Call before you stop by. Our mission is to build community, advocate for social justice, and support the health and well-being of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, and questioning people in Santa Cruz County. We provide resource referrals, a lending library, a small cyber center, and a safe space for community groups and meetings. We produce Triangle Speakers as well as programs for veterans, Latinos, youth, seniors, and trans folk. Every year we produce Pride Santa Cruz, the largest LGBTIQ event in Santa Cruz County. There is something for everyone here, so check us out!
