The plan to achieve the "2011 Vision" was laid out at the Day of Dialogue through a set of objectives that were later refined into 4 focused Initiatives:
- Support emerging LGBT Latina/o groups by creation of a LGBT Latina/o Task Force. The Task Force will initiate and support new and existing organizations working to improve queer Latina/o visibility, generate broader support, and include Latina/o LGBT people in a meaningful way.
- Strengthen programming and support for queer youth throughout the county. The Queer Youth Task Force works with local school districts, government agencies, elected officials and community based organizations advocating for safe space for queer youth.
- Expand and strengthen the Santa Cruz Diversity Center that provides services and a variety of programs for seniors, youth, transgender individuals and the larger LGBT community.
- Create an LGBT Leadership Council to provide support and guidance for the other three initiatives.
